Activism

With ACT UP London, PrEPster, the Gay Liberation Front, and others, I have dug my heels deep into activist territory since 2015. In that time I’ve stood naked in BigPharma headquarters, spoken at an international PrEP conference in Poland, organized the first People’s Revolutionary Convention in 50 years, bought a BIG DRUM, and shouted down a lot of megaphones…

In 2018 I was nominated for Activist of the Year at the Sexual Freedom Awards, and I am proud to have held posts with SERTUC LGBT+, The London National Park City Campaign and other local community groups over the years.

Gay Liberation Front

The Gay Liberation Front was revived in 2018 after a 45 year hiatus – but far from dampened by time, we’ve been back with a bang! We’ve commemorated historical events at Trafalgar Square, Highbury Fields, and the first People’s Revolutionary Constitutional Convention, and launched new campaigns to reclaim Pride, to challenge the CQC about the appalling state of LGBTQ+ care in residential homes, and more….

The Love Tank CIC

I’ve been part of The Love Tank CIC for six years, and it’s been a whale of a time. I’ve spoken many times on the often side-lined issues surrounding sexual healthcare for trans people, hosted dark rooms in techno clubs, and delightfully, I was one of the starring ‘faces of Syphilis’ for PrEPster’s sister campaign, ‘Long Time No Sphyilis’.

I’ve become a confident speaker on many things sexual health related beyond PrEP, and more recently I’ve started contributing from my perspective as a sex worker.

This year, I am proud to have collaborated with The Love Tank to start a new needle exchange for trans people.
